What is the Ghosts of Fredericksburg tour? Costumed guides conduct 90 minute, comfortably-paced, candlelight walking tours through downtown Fredericksburg combining history with mysterious tales of the still lurking dead. When does the tour take place? The tour runs on select Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm. Plan on arriving by 7:45pm. Where does the tour meet? The tour meets in the parking lot of the Fredericksburg Visitor Center at 706 Caroline St. Where is parking for the tour? Parking is available in the Fredericksburg Visitor Center lot as well as street parking on Caroline St. and adjacent streets. How long does the tour last? The tour last approximately 90 minutes and leisurely covers about 1.5 miles. How much does the tour cost? Tour tickets are $10.00+tax/person. Children age 7 and under are free. Do tickets have to be purchased in advance? Yes. Tickets can be purchased at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center until 5:00pm on the day of the tour. They can also be purchased by phone at 540-710-3002 or through our web site www.ghostsoffredericksburg.com until 7:00pm on the day of the tour. Tickets are NOT guaranteed if they are not purchased in advance. What happens if there is bad weather? The tours go out rain or shine. A tour is only cancelled if there is dangerous weather at the time of the tour. When will my credit card be charged for payment? We do not charge the credit card for payment until after 6:00pm the day of the tour. We will bring you the receipt that night. If you need to cancel for any reason, you must cancel by 6:00pm to avoid having your credit card charged. Is the tour appropriate for children? Yes. It is family-friendly and most children enjoy the tour. What if we need to cancel a reservation? A reservation can be cancelled without penalty until 6:00pm on the day of the tour. Is the tour handicap accessible? Yes. The tour takes place entirely outdoors on the sidewalks downtown. Does the Ghosts of Fredericksburg Tour Company have a physical store? Are group rates offered? Group rates are offered to groups of 10 or more when one person pays for everyone. The group rate is $8.50/person and includes the tax and $1 tip/person for the tour guide.
